Andy Cohen is officially a dad.
He welcomed his first child into the world via surrogate on Monday, February 4. It was a whirlwind time for him leading up to this big event as he only announced his impending fatherhood shortly before the holidays.
Andy shared a photo of his newborn son, named Benjamin Allen, that same evening on his Instagram page. The only other photo(s) that he has uploaded since then revolve around who he chose as his baby’s godfather… and its not his BFF Anderson Cooper.
The Watch What Happens Live host picked his buddy Bruce Bozzi, who is a restaurateur for The Palm Restaurant Group. He has been in Andy’s life for several years and the two have now experienced a full circle moment after the birth of his son on Monday.
Andy became godfather to Bruce’s daughter Ava several years ago, and now its Bruce’s turn to do the same for Benjamin.

Several of Andy’s celeb buddies commented on the exciting news, notably Ricky Martin who left a ton of baby-related emojis next to the word “LIFE!!!”
