Beyoncé Drops New Song/Video Just One Day Before Super Bowl Performance

Just one day before she graces the Super Bowl Half Time stage, Beyoncé dropped a brand-new single, Formation.  The video is full of shots of New Orleans.  It looked like she wanted to flash back to the time just after Katrina, from which some parts of the Crescent City still have not recovered.

It's a funky beat for Beyoncé and it's made even more New Orleans style with the sampling of Big Freedia,“I did not come to play with you hoes. I came to SLAY, bitch."

Take a look and a listen to the NSFW Dirty version of Formation.

I would have loved to have seen Big Freedia in the video.  Would that have been too much to ask for?  But what did Big Freedia say about working with Queen Bey?

"It was a total shocker when I got a call from Beyonce’s publicist and she said Beyoncé wanted me to get on this track. When I heard the track and the concept behind it, which was Beyoncé paying homage to her roots (New Iberia, La.), I was even more excited! It was one of the most amazing experiences of my life and I was beyond honored to work with the original Queen B. I think it turned out amazing too!" – fusetv.com
