We have an update on the burly mermen from Canada.
Last year, we shared with you that a bunch of burly Canadian men were donning fishtails in a calendar.
About 30 members of the Newfoundland & Labrador Beard and Mustache Club posed as mermen in a calendar to show a “different take on what manliness and masculinity looks like.”
The calendar was so well received that they were running around to print out extra copies.
In addition, the calendar was raising money to donate to the charity Spirit Horse, a charity and therapy service that tries to “enhance the mental health and life skills of youth, adults, families, and groups through therapeutic interaction with horses.”
Now, the group is happy to share that they have sent the proceeds over to the charity.
In social media posts, which you can find below, calendar organizer Hasan Hai shares a $300,466.53 check with Spirit House NL.
