Jerry Harris must be loving life right now.

The breakout star from Netflix’s Cheer had quite the wild night on Sunday, February 9, when he covered the 2020 Academy Awards red carpet for The Ellen DeGeneres Show.

His appearance at the biggest movie award show in the world was quite overwhelming not only for him but for the A-list stars who ran up to the exuberant cheerleader. It was touching to see them fan out over him just as much as he did for them as many of them admitted to being a big fan of his series!

Everyone from Lin-Manuel Miranda, Scarlett Johansson, Renee Zellweger, Laura Dern and yes, the only and only Brad Pitt, made a beeline for Jerry to discuss the night ahead and gush over how fabulous they think he is.

Little Women director Greta Gerwig had a hilarious interaction with Jerry when she admitted to watching Cheer while pumping breast milk for her child. He had no idea what she meant until someone from behind the scenes explained the situation. “OHHHH,” he said before giggling. “That’s insane. I’ve never heard, that’s… that’s definitely a first.”

Good Morning America co-host Robin Roberts flipped out when meeting Jerry and gave him some kind words in the process. “You are such an inspiration!” she exclaimed.

He had similar moments with other big names like Rebel Wilson, who did an Oscars-related cheer with him, and Regina King, who boasted about being an Oscar winner last year in comparison to Jerry and his team winning National Championships at Daytona at the end of the first season of the show.

The clip then turned back to Ellen and Jerry discussing his fun evening on her talk show where she eventually gave him a $10,000 check from Shutterfly. This is what happens when being an awesome person gets you places. Congrats, Jerry!
