I came home 1/2 an hour into "The Wiz." I sat down with the roommates to see if it would hold my attention. Twenty minutes later, I decided to do some computer work and have it on in the background, not really paying too much attention.
All of that stopped when I saw Glinda the Good Witch descend from the sky. Wait, was Udo Azuba, Miss Orange is the New Black herself and now Glinda, was she going to sing?

Uzo Aduba played Glinda the Good Witch in NBC's beyond-amazing live musical The Wiz last night. Aduba got her start on Broadway, so her singing chops aren't necessarily new news (remember, also, her stellar "White Horse" duet with Taylor Swift back in August) but they are still all sorts of wonderful; even among a night of consistently great vocals. Though NBC — for reasons I cannot understand but can only assume are to do with flying monkeys — has yet to upload an official version of Aduba's "Believe in Yourself," the YouTube rip above is still worth listening to on repeat thos morning. – cosmopolitan.com
I was amazed! I think Uzo had the true showstopping number.
