Will & Grace had a ton of A-list guest stars appear over the course of its eight season run, including Matt Damon, Jennifer Lopez and… Madonna. The Material Girl was on only one episode, as Karen Walker's (Megan Mullaly) roommate Liz, but did she wind up making an enemy during her time on the Emmy-award winning program?
The cast of the show has been making the rounds across the pond in the U.K., where the 9th season (or 1st season for the reboot) premiered on Channel 5 recently.
Sean Hayes, who famously plays Jack McFarland on the hit series, told a story about when Madonna was there to film and how he thought she actually hated him.
“She was wonderful. She came in, did the table read, and was great,” he said. “I know she was nervous, so to make her feel good I was praising her. I was like ’That’s funny when you do that!’ and ‘That’s really great!’”
Then Hayes added: “She said, quote: ’Thank you. I live for your approval.'”
“I was like, ’Oh my God, my idol, she hates me!'”
Debra Messing and Eric McCormack also brought up Madonna's time on the program during a visit to The Graham Norton Show, where they claim she couldn't remember anyone's real names. Ouch.
