We are still reeling from the All Stars 3 finale this past Thursday, and now we don't have time to catch our breath at all as season 10 of RuPaul's Drag Race premieres in only three days.
This is the first time (in my recollection) where this show has gone back to back in its almost ten years of being on the air, but given how big this program has become over the years, it doesn't come as much of a shock that VH1 and World of Wonder is giving its millions of fans what they want in terms of months and months of our favorite drag queens on television.
Now, we have several new girls to call our favorites in due time, as VH1 has released the first fourteen minutes of the season 10 premiere a couple of days in advance.
For those not in the know, the season 10 girls are all brand new to the show except for one which is Eureka from season 9. She tragically had to leave the competition due to an injury she sustained during the cheerleading challenge in episode 2.
The other competitors reads as follows: Yuhua Hamasaki (New York, NY), Vanessa Vanjie Mateo (Tampa, FL), The Vixen (Chicago, IL), Monique Heart (Kansas City, MO), Monét X Change (Bronx, NY), Miz Cracker (New York, NY), Mayhem Miller (Riverside, CA), Kameron Michaels (Nashville, TN), Kalorie Karbdashian-Williams (Albuquerque, NM), Dusty Ray Bottoms (New York, NY), Blair St. Clair (Indianapolis, IN), Aquaria (Brooklyn, NY) and Asia O'Hara (Dallas, TX) .
Eureka is the first to enter the work room, with her entrance line being "Like a phoenix from the ashes, Eureka is back." It's a smart move by the producers as to eliminate a surprise element that the other queens already know is coming. Then Asia comes in after her, who Eureka says is stiff competition due to her illustrious history in the pageant circuit along with the other O'Hara's.
