Well this should be an interesting sit down.
The Daily Beast's Matt Wilstein reported on Wednesday that controversial comedian Kevin Hart will be making an appearance on Ellen Degeneres' talk show this Monday, January 7th.
Kevin's life was turned upside down recently after he backed out of hosting the 2019 Oscars due to his past homophobic tweets that were dug up. It was a decision that many people had strong opinions on, some in defense of him and some not.
Nick Cannon, for instance, defended Kevin by bringing up tweets that appeared homophobic from female comedians like Chelsea Handler and Sarah Silverman.
Not sure if he was scheduled to appear before or after this debacle occurred, but Kevin at least has something to promote with his new film The Upside which will be released domestically on January 11th.
Ellen is no stranger to hosting The Oscars as she's done it twice in the past and has been considered to be one of his replacements for this year's ceremony. The Academy has not yet announced who will take the reigns when the show airs on February 24th.
