“He actually played it pretty cool, quickly giving the assailant cash, keeping himself and the guy calm and getting the situation over with,” the news source wrote. “Understandably though it left him very shaken up afterwards.”

The Metropolitan police confirmed that they are investigating a robbery by knifepoint in the area. They also say that they were alerted to the crime involving a man in his 20s on Saturday, February 15.

According to BBC News, the Met shared the following initial statement:

“Officers were contacted on Saturday, 15 February regarding the incident which happened at 23.50 hours on Friday, 14 February. It was reported that a man in his 20s was approached by another man and threatened him with a knife. The victim was not injured however, cash was taken from him.”

Styles has had a rollercoaster of events happen to him in the past few months. While his solo career is going relatively successfully, including being nominated for best male solo artist and best album at the Brit Awards this past Tuesday, he has also allegedly dealt with this crime and an earlier case of harassment.

According to The Guardian, Styles was stalked by a 26-year-old homeless man named Pable Tarazaga-Orero last October. Styles first met the man on the street and offered Tarazogo-Orero food and money for a hotel. The man then stationed himself outside Styles’ home, followed the singer to his favorite pub four times a week, and posted notes and coins through the singer’s letterbox. District Judge Nigel Dean later banned Tarazago-Orero from going within 250 meters (820 ft) of Styles or his home.

As for the mugging incident, Styles and his management have yet to make an official comment. In addition, no arrest has currently been made in relation to the crime.
