Kellogg’s announced the release of All Together, a cereal that combines the most popular Kellogg’s cereal in one box which symbolizes unity and will help fight for LGBT equality, according to NY Daily News

The colorful cereal was created to celebrate Spirit Day which brings LGBT awareness into the spotlight. Spirit Day is celebrated on the third Thursday of October. As you can see, the box is vibrant and features iconic mascots such as Tony the Tiger, Toucan Sam, and Snap, Crackle, and Pop. The large box will have six individual smaller boxes, filled with Corn Flakes, Froot Loops, Frosted Flakes, Frosted Mini-Wheats, Raisin Bran, and Rice Krispies. The message behind putting all of these cereals together in the same box is that people deserve to live in harmony and that they should feel accepted regardless of their sexual orientation.

Priscilla Koranteng, Kellogg’s vice president global talent and chief diversity officer, said in a statement that the people at Kellogg  “are firmly committed to equity and inclusion in the workplace, marketplace and in the communities where we work and live” and that the company has long been supporters of LGBT people and their fight for equality. Kellogg also said that they will donate $50,000 to GLAAD, an LGBT media advocacy organization, to support its anti-bullying campaign. I do enjoy the fact that Kellogg, unlike many companies that make rainbow products just to get gay people to buy their products, is actually contributing to the advancement of LGBT equality.

The box itself is a bit expensive, sitting at $19.99 but it is a limited edition thing so it’s to be expected. I’m just glad that Kellogg’s didn’t create a horrible amalgamation of six distinctly-tasting kinds of cereal. Can you imagine?

Too bad Lucky Charms is a General Mills cereal because it’s unequivocally the gayest cereal on the market and All Together and the rainbows and unicorns of Lucky Charms would have made for a great pairing!
