What is up with Madonna?

Forty-five minutes before the Queen of Pop was scheduled to take to the stage in Lisbon, Portugal, on Sunday fans got an email saying the show was canceled.

That was the 8th performance of the Madame X World Tour Madge has had to cancel.

She shared on Instagram a short while later, “Sorry I had to cancel tonight but I must listen to my body and rest!” No reason was given for the cancellation but Madonna has been plagued with injuries since the beginning of the tour.

Throughout the tour, she’s shared on social media about “overwhelming” and “indescribable” pain, as well as fears of “irreversible damage.”

She closed Sunday’s post writing, “See you on Tuesday fingers crossed.”

Here’s hoping all goes well at the show as she closes out the Lisbon leg of her tour.

She was in good spirits at her January 16 show reports the BBC, even joking about having to trade in her heels for flat shoes telling the audience, “They are very ugly but it was either wear these boots or cancel the show.”
