Man’s Body Was Photoshopped To Meet 19 “Ideal” Beauty Standards From Around The World

Using an original photo graciously provided by a New York photographer, a U.K.-based online doctor service asked graphic designers from 19 different countries — the group included 11 women and eight men — to Photoshop the man's body to fit the ideal beauty standard of their culture. 

 

Of course this is all just 19 people's opinions out of millions, but as people in the business, graphic designers may know what sells, what draws the eye to ads, what is "ideal."

    That is definitely not the ideal body type for South Africa….The United States one is closer to the SA'N ideal. But yeah, bad photo shopping.

  6. Not so much a commentary on

    Not so much a commentary on how ideal bodies should look like in those countries but more so how bad some countries are at photoshopping.
