Mnek is joining Drag Race.

Drag Race UK is quickly coming together with casting for the participants and judges underway. And now, it looks like the show has a coach too.

British singer-songwriter Mnek is known for working with high profile music talent. Before he branched off into his own singing career, the artist created plenty of songs for well-known singers like Beyoncé, Madonna, Little Mix, BTS, Christina Aguilera, Years and Years, and more. And now, Mnek will be helping the rising talents on the new Drag Race iteration.

Mnek has been added to the show as a guest vocal coach. He announced this to fans through a tweet, which you can find below, saying:

“guys i totally h̶a̶d̶ ̶t̶o̶ ̶s̶i̶g̶n̶ ̶a̶n̶ ̶N̶D̶A̶ ̶a̶n̶d̶ ̶n̶o̶t̶ ̶t̶e̶l̶l̶ ̶u̶ forgot to tell u that I’m gonna be on @dragraceukbbc ! so excited 2 have been asked to be a part of it- can’t wait to see how the episode pans out also @rupaulofficial was super sweet and tall [sic].”

In addition, an official statement released to the BBC shared more excitement from the Brtish talent.

“I had so much fun working with the queens on Drag Race UK! The public is in for a real treat,” said Mnek.

This isn’t the first time that Mnek has acted as a musical coach before. Just last month, he took on the taks of hosting an LGBTQ songwriting camp for Pride. The singer-songwriter gathered LGBTQ artists and celebrated music producers like Olly Alexander of Years & Years, L Devine, Ryan Ashley, Jon Shave, Leo Kalyan, and more to a gathering to focuse on the creativity of LGBTQ-focused music.

As Mnek said at the time:

“I’ve set up this camp to have a couple days specifically for Pride but to also invite some LGBT talent that I really rate to collaborate with each other.

“The community is so creative and full of really gifted writers and producers so I’m really excited that we are getting to come together, be there for each other and make music for this camp!”

Now that he has joined Drag Race UK, Mnek will be in the company of a growing list of celebs on the show including RuPaul, Michelle Visage, Graham Norton, Alan Carr, AJ and Curtis Pritchard, Andrew Garfield, Maisie Williams, Geri Horner, Jade Thirlwall, and more.
