We're sad to share with you that 1950s heartthrob Tab Hunter died Sunday night, according to TMZ and his Facebook page.
Tab Hunter, born Arthur Andrew Kelm, was known for his roles in Damn Yankees and The Burning Hill. He’s also known for opening up about being a closeted talent in Hollywood in his 2005 autobiography titled Tab Hunter Confidential, which then was turned into documentary.
In that autobiography, Hunter reveals that his public relationship with Natalie Wood was a cover for his private relationship with Anthony Perkins. Hollywood director J.J. Abrams has also announced that he’s working on a film titled Tab & Tony about the secret relationship between these two Hollywood stars.
As for how Hunter died, the Facebook post didn’t reveal any details. It simply stated:
“Tab passed away tonight three days shy of his 87th birthday. Please honor his memory by saying a prayer on his behalf. He would have liked that.”
May He Rest In Peace.
