The 15th season premiere of Grey’s Anatomy is upon us, and it looks like the season will get some gay male romance.
We reported to you a couple weeks ago that ABC's longest running scripted primetime tv show will get a gay male surgeon for the first time ever.
Now, we’re happy to share with you that Kim will not only exist in the show, but also be given a romance.
The 15th season of Grey’s Anatomy has been dubbed the “Season of Love” by its writing team. This is mostly due to the implication that lead character Meredith Grey will start seriously dating again.
But as PopSugar reports, the nickname for this season applies to multiple characters.
Concerning Dr. Nico Kim, James Pickens Jr., who plays Dr. Richard Webber, shared that Dr. Kim will be the object of an intern’s flirtations.
“He catches the eye of one of the interns, and it'll be interesting to see how it all plays out," he told PopSugar.
In addition, Giacomo Gianniotti, who plays Dr. Andrew DeLuca, says there will be a “power dynamic” between the two.
"Someone might be on a higher level, someone might be on a lower level,” he hinted.
But who will be the intern on the other end of this gay romance? The awkward but adorable Levi “Glasses” Schmitt, the party-hard and sue-friendly Vikram Roy, the tech-savy and transgender-representative Casey Parker, or a potential new character?
Two of those three characters have already been established to have sex with women, but bisexuality is always an option.
No matter which intern ends up flirting it up with Dr. Nico Kim, gay male fans (and fans of gay males) are sure to be in for a treat with this new season of Grey’s Anatomy.
Even better, fans won’t have to wait much longer as the new season will premiere this Thursday (September 27) on ABC.

Behind Alex Landi, dressed in the blue hospital attire, is actor Chris Carmack. He played Will on the TV series "Nashville" as the openly gay country singer. Media reports state Carmack will play an orthopedic surgeon who comes to work at Grey Sloan Memorial and is known as an “Ortho God.” He had some wonderful romantic scenes on "Nashville" with out gay actor Kyle Dean Massey… if he and Landi are pared together, YUM!

Hello, thank you for the correction. That said, it looks like we were both wrong as The Simpsons is the longest running scripted primetime TV show with 30 seasons. Nevertheless, I've updated the article.
