Love, Simon star Keiynan Lonsdale is promoting body positivity online, but is there more to the story?
Last night, the actor and singer posted a very revealing picture of himself on Instagram. The photo, found below, shows Lonsdale spread out in front of a mirror with only a gold and glittered fabric covering his private area.
To caption the sudden and provocative photo, Lonsdale wrote:
“why is it deemed wrong to not wear clothes? We’ve been taught poorly, & groomed to hold shame for ourselves, our human bodies.”
“No matter what we look like, each of us is made to feel incorrect inside our own physical form, told that in order to survive & be a functioning, liked, & well respected person in society, we should hide this form from the world. That shit sounds whack to me.”
“Now, I’m not at all at the confidence level to be neked in public lol, maybe one day i hope, but I’m sure as hell working on sharing & showing off my body to myself.. and it feels good.”
But is there more to the story than just Lonsdale sharing his thoughts on body positivity/shaming and the freedom of a nudist life? According to CocktailsAndCockTalk, there is.
Their NSFW site discovered that nude videos of Lonsdale have made their way onto the internet and they make the assumption that both could be publicity stunts or at the very least related.
Did Lonsdale post this Instagram picture to get people talking about his body there instead of elsewhere online? Did he post as a reaction to the leak and to share that he’s not ashamed of being seen naked?
