Ru Paul Sent The Best Home Last Night.

She's why I tuned in each week, but now she is gone.

Kim Chi was going to do a great look, Naomi Smalls will show us her legs, Bob the Drag Queen will make us laugh, and Derrick Barry will look too much like a real woman and get picked on for it (didn't Carmen Carrera get her fame and zero flack for doing that?). But what would Chi Chi DeVayne do, what would she wear, and how would she grow, that's why I tuned into Ru Paul's Drag Race.  I didn't tune in to see favorites from day 1, Bob and Kim, walk, or in Kim's case try to walk, to the finish line.  Race dammit. Race!  They both had one foot over the finish line from the first week.

Chi Chi is whom I will want to go see when the RPDR circus comes to town.  I saw Bianca Del Rio when she hosted down in New Orleans.  When the RPDR boat came to town, I didn't have a desire to see Bianca again.  Bob has performed down here in Wilton Manors before.  I'm not sure I want to go to an 11 o'clock show and wait until 1 AM when the drag queens finally come out so I can see Naomi's legs or what Kim is wearing.  But if it was Chi Chi, I'd wait.

Ru, you sent home the girl that came with the least, but left with the most. A famous Las Vegas impersonator, a major NYC drag comedian, or a well-known make-up artist she was not.   She did not start off your race with the following many of the other girls already had.  She did not start off with the confidence (sometimes overconfidence) some girls flaunted. Her looks became polished while others fell back to the same ol' same ol', humor, style, and legs.

She is NOT the reason why I started watching the show.  Casting well-knowns with not so well-knowns was a smart thing to do, Ru.  My friends got me watching this season because of Kim Chi and Bob the Drag Queen and I am sure I was not alone.

Chi Chi DeVayne. She's why I tuned in each week.  She will be why I will go to a RPDR tour shows if she is on the list of performers.  And her absence from the top 3 is why I don't feel like watching the finale, but I will tune in to see if she gets the recognition she deserves.

Chi Chi, if I had "a hundred dalsand dallahs" and a crown, they both would be making their way to Shreveport, LA.

Stay positive Chi Chi. With a talent like this, there's no other way to be.
