Ryan Murphy, the visionary wizard behind iconic television shows like Pose and American Horror Story, has found an irresistibly cute actor to play Rock Hudson in his upcoming Netflix series Hollywood.
Hollywood has been described as “a love letter to the golden age of television” that will cover “several narratives from 1940’s Hollywood.” The Emmy winning producer has also revealed that it will explore what it was like to be a closeted actor at that time.
Actors that have signed on for this project include Jeremy Pope, Darren Criss, Dylan McDermott, Holland Taylor and Laura Harrier.
Jake Picking, who is known for his roles in Patriot’s Day and Dirty Grandpa, is set to star as Rock while Jim Parsons will play his agent Henry Willson. Hollywood is set to premiere on the streaming service in May 2020.
The 28-year-old shared his excitement about the news on Instagram on Saturday, September 28. “Incredibly honored to play Rock Hudson in Ryan Murphy’s @netflix series #Hollywood,” he wrote.
