Queer Eye and The Great British Bake Off combined?
Fans of the Netflix reality show Queer Eye will be excited to find that the show will be represented in an upcoming Great British Bake Off special. The reality show about baking an assortment of meals and treats will see celebrities compete to raise money for Stand Up To Cancer. Each episode will see four celebrities testing their baking skills for charity. Eventually, one will be crowned the Star Baker.
“The Great Celebrity Bake Off is a key ingredient in our Stand Up to Cancer recipe,” said Sarah Lazenby, Head of Formats and Features at Channel 4. “We’ve seen the power of using comedy and entertainment to bring awareness and raise millions of pounds to fund pioneering cancer trials. We hope viewers will enjoy this year’s line-up of famous bakers, there’s never a dough moment as each bring something fresh and exciting to the tent.”
One of those celebrities in the upcoming five-part series is none other than Fabe Five member Tan France, according to Deadline. He’ll be joined by other celebs like The Inbetweeners actor James Buckley, Documentary creator Louis Theroux, model Kelly Brook, and Oscar-winning actor Richard Dreyfuss.
It seems France has been working hard outside of Queer Eye. Last year, France released a memoir about his life and career. In addition, it was announced that he would be the host of a new fashion design competition show for Netflix called Next in Fashion. That show will drop at the end of this month.
Things are going well for Tan France, and we hope his great time keeps on rolling.
