The human Ken doll is back, now with less ribs.
Rodrigo Alves is a plastic surgery enthusiast to the extreme and he proved that by his latest procedure.
The 34-year-old underwent surgery two weeks ago to have his ribs removed. The Brazilian born is the first man (though some women were first) in the world to have rib removing surgery.
And his reasoning for going through the surgery?
“I had four ribs removed so I can do my blazers up without having to breathe in or have them altered.”
While he originally meant to have six ribs removed, his doctors refused while saying it was too risky. That said, they were willing to remove four.
And now that he’s two weeks out from the surgery, Alves is already on the air to talk about it.
Rodrigo Alves talked to ITV’s This Morning to not only talk about the procedure, but he even showed up with his four ribs floating in a jar.
If some of you are more than shocked at Alves’s multiple surgeries, you’re not alone. The hosts of the talk show shared their concerns and suggested Rodrigo spend his money on therapy and not surgery. Alves then said he’s done both.
“Well I am 34 years old, it has been a very long journey for me,” he said. “I love the way I look. I love to stand out.
“Yes, there is contentment in my soul. Plastic surgery has changed my life. From water to wine,” he said.
