Madame X has been out a full week. I don’t know about you, but I’ve had it on an endless loop. Aside from “Killers Who Are Partying,” which I just can’t get comfortable with, I really love it. More than I was expecting to, even.
So what’s the best track? It’s hard to top “Medellín,” but for me, the best track is “Crazy,” not to be confused with “Crazy For You,” although it’s about that good.
I love the accordion. I love the Portugese and the clever idiomatic wordplay. I love the sad chords.
Most of all, I love that this is pure vulnerable-yet-steely-tough, I-need-someone-to-love-me-but-if-you-can’t-keep-up-with-this-Bitch-and-love-me-the-way-I-deserve-to-be-loved-then-f*ck-off MADONNA. It’s so her. I’m in Gay Heaven and I’m still alive.
Listen to “Crazy” below. Seriously, check out Madame X if you haven’t yet. It’s really good. Let us know your favorite Madame X track in the comments.
