Bryan Keating: I’m aching to know how the scene in Los Angeles differs from Sweden!

“Sebastian Lysen: I moved to Los Angeles without ever [being] here before. Now I can't imagine a better place to move for someone who is [as of] restless soul as I am. [I] like to wake up to new adventures daily. Not to mention the people in this city; everyone is so open minded and friendly it's hard not to just love it. The same when it comes to the gay scene; it's exciting and fun and there's so many outgoing, handsome guys here. My only experience with the dating scene has been within LA, and as we all know most of us here seems to be transplants from one coast or another. But to compare the supposedly super liberal Stockholm, Sweden, the guys seems more open to meet new people and to explore the scene. But no matter how big a city seems to be, the scene is always small enough for bullshit too, I'm just saying.”

BK: You were on a season of Sweden’s Top Model. Would you consider doing reality television again, but in America?

SL: “Life after reality television, is a life only people who has done it can relate too. It's surrealistic in the way people recognize you and kind of how you check out of your everyday life for more than a month to participate in a production aka "a game", where the only rules that [exist are] the ones the producer makes as he decide who to send home and who to put on the throne. [Reality television] doesn't fit my personality. I like control and I couldn't really just go with it. I mean, I don't regret it, but I wouldn't [do it again].”

On the LGBTQ Community:

SL: “I was the one who just didn't want to realize and to conform [to] what the older bullies told me I was years before I was looking at [that] first guy in that special way. I love [the] LGBTQ community, especially in times as of now where the generations are growing apart faster than ever. I am not a big fan of categorizing, so I'd say I feel strengthened by everyone that believes in humanity and not in genders, class, race, color, and so on.”

BK: Alright, fess up! How are you that sexy?!

SL: Oh, you stop it! People ask me about diet. All I can say is that I grew up with clean eating as a lifestyle. I think that is the key to a healthy me. But yes, I do put more money on skin care and nutritional supplements, than I spend on my wardrobe. I exercise five days a week. I like to mix it up a little depending on the mood I'm in. Yoga, hiking, gym, or why not Muscle Beach, or Deep House Yoga? [I’m in] Los Angeles after all.”

BK: What are the next steps for your blossoming career and yourself?

SL: “My biggest project right now is actually happening back in Sweden where I have a non-profit organization called 'Våga Tala', translated into "Dare To Speak Up". It's a job I do with my mother where we work towards a society where victims of sexual abuse don't feel like they have to hide behind lies and shame. I believe in normalizing the topic, to talk about the right to ones body already from an early age, and I want to see more adults take the responsibility to do so. As well as more men to say no to men who do wrong. [Otherwise] I am pursuing what brought me to the states as a fashion model. I think my prime will be in a few years to be honest. Speaking of [which] I am actually very optimistic about the future in general. I am one of [the] few who like to age!”
