Twitter Full Of Gay Slurs Attacking Anderson Cooper After Debate

Looks like we learned one thing from this last presidential debate, Trump's anti-gay deplorables know how to use twitter.  Hang on Anderson Cooper.  It's gonna get bumpy.

Anderson Cooper is being targeted in homophobic attacks on Twitter following last night’s presidential debate.

The CNN anchor co-moderated the second face-off between Donald Trump and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton with ABC News’ Martha Raddatz. Cooper and Raddatz asked tough, pointed questions of the candidates following two debates in which moderators were viewed as not interjecting enough. During the vice presidential debate between Sen. Tim Kaine (D-Va.) and Gov. Mike Pence (R-Ind.), the two men frequently talked over moderator Elaine Quijano.

Twitter responded to the hands-on approach in the worst way, calling Cooper a series of homophobic slurs during the debate …

The CNN anchor, who came out publicly in 2012 following years of speculation, became the first openly gay man to host a presidential debate on Sunday night. Prior to the event, Trump criticized the choice of Cooper as a debate moderator, arguing that he was too “biased” to fairly emcee the contest.

“I don't think Anderson Cooper should be a moderator because Anderson Cooper works for CNN, and over the last couple of days, I've seen how Anderson Cooper behaves,” the CEO told the Washington Post’s Robert Costa during a September interview conducted during a campaign stop in Ohio. “He'll be very biased, very biased. I don't think he should be a moderator. I'll participate, but I don't think he should be a moderator. CNN is the Clinton News Network, and Anderson Cooper, I don't think he can be fair." – dailydot.com

There are many more over at dailydot.com along with more dialogue about pussy grabbing, locker room talk, and the like.

Do we go after these deplorables for slander like Twitter has with Azealia Banks and Milo Yanni-somethingorother?

Or do we just ignore them like we have all the other morons that have called us names in the past?

Can I say the word deplorables again?

It's human nature.  Certain kinds of people. when not getting their way, resort to name calling.

Best to focus on the crudity of these people than on the names they call.  When my friend, a very liberal, kind Irishman would get frustrated he would call someone a "tinker" – the derogatory name for the itinerant tinsmithss.  A derogatory label.

Anderson Cooper is an intelligent, non biased reporter. His sexual orientation should not have any effect on his professionalism. C'mon people, this is 2016, we r past this sick issue. You should be attacking The Donald for his twisted, unprofessional and abusive tone.  He has such a biiiiig mouth, he needs to learn when to shut it, it keeps getting him into trouble. Clinton is not an angel but compared to The Donald, she is a Saint.  Get your act together people and deal with the issues at hand. Who Anderson is has no effect on the election and let us not forget, there were two co-ordinators.

  15. Anderson Cooper, you are

Anderson Cooper, you are loved and admired by your own and many, many more people in the world today. Sadly, with that love and admiration, comes a static of noise from people who will never know or understand what it is, to be solid, strong gay man. Their words only amplify the inner ugliness and ignorance that boils to the surface when the chips are down. Keep doing what you do! You honor and  make so many of us proud! ❤️

I will admit that at times I feel Anderson Cooper gets in the way of his stories when reporting (especially natural disasters), this is most likely due to our 24/7 news cycle than anything else, but he is always a class act on camera and most likely off. At the debate, I thought he and Martha Radditz were at their best with less than stellar material to work with, and that's being kind to our candidates.

These tweets may be from Trump supporters, but they could also just be idiots using Trump's name. It's scary that there is so much hate out there and trump has given some a voice, but if Trump is defeated, and I hope he will be, the hatred will still be there which is tragic.

Both moderators did a fantastic job of having both candidates stick to the rules and force them to answer the questions being asked. Trump didn't like that a woman and a gay man kept ensuring he followed the rules.

Hillary is no more for gay folks than Trump is. Honestly, I don't think Trump gives a shit if you're gay, straight, white, brown, torquoise. What's the point in being for a person for anything other than being an AMERICAN? The position is called PRESIDENT, not ACTIVIST. Hillary is LYING to all of us about EVERYTHING. Wake up!

        Trump is the real LYER.

A man can be judged by the people that he attracts and those who he keeps around him. Why would I, as a gay man, be interested in following Trump and an subjecting myself to his homophobic world as evidenced by all the hateful tweets from Trump supporters?  Trump is the one lying to us about everything, not Hillary and that is proven over and over again when their speeches are fact checked.

Shows how homosexuals are still treated by other Americans. .sad in 2016 that is the only defence trump supporters could come up with. Their lack of common sense and intelligence is down right sad. Twitter should cancel their accounts I'm sure they are saying much worse on other topics also. Take the tool out of their hand so hate will be gone. They will have to actually go out in the world. Easier to hide behind an account and fake face then do or say it in public.
