Carlo Alazo has gotten himself into more trouble.

A Utah Judge has issued a warrant out on Alazo, according to FOX 13. The Utah State Courts shared that there’s a $2,500 warrant out for Carlo Alazo after he failed to appear in court on Friday.

Apparently, Alazo, who is currently facing misdemeanor charges of assault and threatening the use of a weapon in a fight, couldn’t coordinate a flight to the court hearing. Court records show that he called on Thursday after mailing a motion asking for 90-day continuance because he lives in Florida. That mailed motion didn’t arrive at the court in time, however, and he was told to call again on Friday “once court is done,” according to the New York Post.

A chief deputy at the Salt Lake County District Attorney’s Office shared that they are now scheduling a new court date.

“And if he does show up, that’ll clear the warrant,” the court official said.

Despite all this, Alazo is simply facing misdemeanor charges, so it’s unlikely that prosecutors will arrange for authorities in Florida to hunt Alazo down. As such, he may have gotten his 90-day continuance. Just in a strange workaround.

All of this was started by an event back in February. Alazo was caught in the above video attacking a gay man.

The victim in the attack, Sal Trejo, posted the clip. Before the video starts, Alazo and unidentified friends allegedly shouted anti-gay slurs.

After Trejo confronted then, Alazo asked, “Are you gay, though?”

“Oh, I am,” responds Trejo.

“Oh, then you’re gay,” Alazo says back.

“Yeah, but-“ Trejo responds before being hit by Alazo.

Trejo then posted the video and the following statement:

“My friends and I were assaulted by an intoxicated man last night as we left a bar in downtown SLC. It started with him approaching us out of the blue and making homophobic and misogynistic comments towards our group. We started recording him and asked him to leave, he wouldn’t, and then went on to hit me and shove one of our girlfriends. At this point we became verbally aggressive to protect ourselves. We called the police immediately. He then pulled out a knife and pointed it towards us while continuing to call us faggots. He eventually ran off, got into his car (in his intoxicated state) and drove on the light rail tracks until he sped off away from Main Street. This man is dangerous and needs to be held accountable for his actions. He drives what looked like a 2007 BMX X5. If you know who he is, please let me know so we may alert the police.”

The video then spread online like wildfire and eventually led to Carlo Alazo’s arrest. We’ll see what happens in his case when the culprit shows up to court.
