It’s time to make those new year resolutions. Is one of them to find a new adventure? We are, too!
Ever thought about being a contributing writer? Our current contributing writers come from all over the map and varied walks of life, backgrounds, interests, and availability. We’re looking once again for one or a few good people to join our team and to help us grow even more!
Contributing writers help to keep Instinct’s website/blog fresh, fun, hip, and entertaining! We look for individuals with a quick wit, sharp sense of humor, and a writing style that is in tune with the voice of our site. As a contributing writer, we would expect you to know your way around and be comfortable with social networking sites (Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, etc.) and use these to keep Instinct’s focus current, relevant, and up-to-date. Currently we are using the very easy WordPress to publish our main content.
Our contributing writers are considered free-lance, most make their own hours, and decide how often they post, all the while remembering we are working together to produce a product we are all proud to be a part of and one that represents us all. We all work as a team to make sure the content is always being added, keeping our readers informed, engaged, and entertained each and every day of the year.
If you are interested in joining our team, please submit the following:
- a writing sample or two or three
- links to your social media accounts
- a brief explanation as to why you are perfect for this job, what you can bring to the table, why you have the right voice that appeals to our readership, and why contributing to Instinct makes you enthusiastic beyond your wildest dreams.
For the examples (of gay interest appreciated), we’re not looking for links to your PhD studies, but more to examples you feel could be posted on Instinct tomorrow (maybe it will even be your first post with us). If you don’t have such examples, create one or more that you think our readers would enjoy and that would educate and inform our readers and generate traffic to our site.
