It was the side-eye seen around the world, when Doug Jones' gay son Carson threw Vice President Mike Pence some serious shade as his father was sworn into office yesterday.
The comments that flooded in on Carson's Instagram account were nothing short of incredible, ranging from "Yay. Love your laser look at the moronic homophobe" to "Absolutely, Love this Historical photo! Love it," and we couldn't agree more with the sentiment.
However, there was one garment that Carson was wearing that wasn't visible in the shady photo that was posted, but it was definitely the gay cherry on top of this fabulous cake.
He wore a rainbow colored boutonnière as an extra poke to the Trump administration. This just makes everything so much more awesome and shows that Carson truly isn't fearful about being his authentic self in front of such a homophobe.
Keep up the good work, Carson… and by work…. we mean shade, smartness and being freaking adorable.

I would have given Carson 50 bonus points if he gave his father the buttoniere to wear himself.
I would have given Doug 100 bonus points if he stole (or borrowed) the buttoniere from Carson just to wear for the photo above.
