Pose takes place in 1980s New York and follows the subculture of the ball world (a la Paris is Burning). The series features five trans actors, Angelia Ross, MJ Rodriguez, Indya Moore, Dominique Jackson, and Hailie Sahar. Aside from these breakout stars, Evan Peters and Kate Mara play a New Jersey couple who become immersed in the ball culture of NYC and its eleganza! With roles played by James Van Der Beek and Kinky Boots’ Billy Porter who will play the ballroom MC Pray Tell.
