Police Have Officially Confirmed The Cause of Rapper Lil Peep's Death

Last week, we shared the news that police were investigating the death of rapper Lil Peep.

Peep had become famous earlier in the year after coming out as bisexual and dropping his first album.

Then a month ago, the 21-year-old rapper was found dead, and police opened up an investigation because they feared foul play may have been involved.

This thought sprang up after texts were found from a woman who allegedly visited Peep before his death.

One text allegedly says, “GBC [Lil Peep] high af because of me and my friend lol.”

The investigation is still ongoing but has now confirmed the fact that Lil Peep died from a Fentanyl-Xanax overdose.

Sargent Pete Duncan from the Tucson, Arizona Police Department share that, “It appeared to have been an overdose from evidence found near his body – most likely from Xanax or a combination of different drugs.”

Then later, the toxology report from the Pima County Medical Examiner confirmed that there were traces of “many other” drugs in the rapper’s system.

That said, the investigation is still ongoing as police still haven’t ruled out whether his death was a planned murder or not.

As Dugan told Rolling Stone that they have yet to find out if any of the drugs he took were tampered with and that, “it will really boil down to what was in his system.”

Teen on London Tube Strangled & Forced To Apologize For Being Gay

Police are currently looking for two men who attacked a gay teenager on a London tube in October.

On October 21 around 11:10 pm, two men boarded the Jubilee line and starting spurting homophobic slurs at a 19-year-old and his friends.

The friends didn’t take the insults standing down but that only added fuel to the situation and the two aggressors became more hostile. One of the two then grabbed the 19-year-old into a headlock to strangle him.

A British Transport Police spokesperson later retold the events:

“The second offender took the victim’s phone and verbally abused him again, also making threats to stab him.”

“They demanded the victim apologize for being gay which eventually the victim did as he was struggling to breathe. They then let him go and handed back his phone and a fight ensued between the victim’s friends and the offenders.”

Officers do have footage of the event and ask that if anyone recognizes the people in the images, to call and help with the investigation. If you think you know them, call BTP on 0800 40 50 40 or text 61016, quoting reference number 273 of 1/12.

The spokesperson later added, “Hate crime will not be tolerated by British Transport Police. We believe that everyone has the right to travel safety.”

“We won’t tolerate behavior where someone is targeted because they are perceived to be different, or made to feel uncomfortable on their journey.”

Police Suspicious that Recently Out Rapper Lil Peep’s Death Was Foul Play

Last month, news hit that rapper Lil Peep was found dead of what looked like an overdose. The relatively new celebrity made news in the summer for coming out as bisexual and then debuted his album to moderate success.

When the artist died, his social media received a multitude of messages from celebrities like Sam Smith, Charlie XCX, and Post Malone. Then, a live stream of his memorial service was shared last night (and can be viewed below).

But that’s not the end of the story, it seems.

The Tucson Police Department have opened up an investigation into the death of Lil Peep after discovering “troubling private messages” on his phone, says TMZ.

The texts seem to have been sent by a woman who reportedly went to the tour bus to see the rapper right before his death.

“GBC [Lil Peep] high af because of me and my friend lol,” the woman allegedly wrote in a group text message. “He passed the f*ck out. My brother called and I tried to get him to say hi to my brother, but he wouldn’t wake up.”

Then before Lil Peep’s death, he posted a video on Instagram where he said, “six Xanax, and now it’s lit.”

Police are currently looking into if the Xanax he took was laced with fentanyl. That said, it will take sometime between six to eight weeks to get the results from the full toxicology test.

Former Grindr Employee Says HR Supervisor Drugged & Raped Him

Daniel Cabanero, the Human Resources Supervisor for Grindr, is being sued for drugging and raping a former employee.

TMZ. who broke the story, said employee who’s choosing to remain anonymous, claims that Cabanero drugged him at the company’s 2016 Xmas party. Then, Cabanero put John Doe, as he’s being referred to, in a car, took him to a hotel room, and anally raped him.

John Doe claims that he woke up in the middle of the sexual act and then lost consciousness again. When he awoke, he went to the E.R. where he says he was “subjected to a highly invasive and humiliating rape examination.”

TMZ then reports that John Doe went to the authorities who are still in the middle of the investigation.

John Doe also partially blames other Grindr workers who knew he was impaired and didn’t protect him. Plus, he says the company encouraged sexually explicit language and misconduct.

When TMZ reached out to Grindr, they didn’t send word back.

Keep in mid however that the story is still too new. There is no evidence or proof to verify the story yet.

Instinct Magazine will keep looking for more information concerning this topic and will keep you up-to-date with any new discoveries.
