Five men and one woman, all over the age of 60, were arrested earlier this month for having an orgy in a public park.
According to the Associated Press, a group of people between 62 and 85 were arrested by local police in Fairfield, Connecticut. According to police, the Grace Richardson conservation area had become promoted online as a hookup spot. The Fairfield Police’s Quality of Life Unit and the Special Services Unit then investigated the situation by setting up surveillance cameras around the area. What they witnessed through the cameras then confirmed their worries and suspicions.
That surveillance footage then led to the group arrest. Now, Daniel Dobbins, 67, Otto D. Williams, 62, Charles L Ardito, 75, John Linartz, 62, Richard Butler, 82, and his wife, 85-year-old Joyce Butler are facing multiple charges such as public indecency and breach of peace.
For one member of the group, this isn’t the first time he’s had a run-in with law enforcers. Dobbins was arrested in 2017 after police were alerted to him walking around naked in another park. Police then later found him in his car with a shirt and shorts draped over him, with no underwear underneath. He then tried to excuse his situation as being naked for medical purposes.
Fairfield Police Capt. Robert Kalamaras said that law enforcement officers in the area are staying vigilant in fighting cruising and public sex in parks. And to do that, they warn others that they are monitoring websites, magazines, and dating apps with lists and info for the places to hookup in public.
