News about the international spinoff has gone on for months without a release date of when it will actually premiere. They’ve also kept mum on the list of queens who will appear during its debut season as well.
Here’s what we know for now about Drag Race UK. The permanent judges will be RPDR mainstays RuPaul and Michelle Visage, with talk show hosts Alan Carr and Graham Norton added in as rotating additions to the panel (consider them the British versions of Ross Mathews and Carson Kressley).
A slew of guest judges have also been announced. Pop princess Cheryl Cole, actor Andrew Garfield, girl group sensation Geri Horner and many others will be judging the newest flock of Drag Race competitors.
All of this will hit the BBC iPlayer this October. No word yet on when the eight episode series will be available state side, but it should hit WOW Presents Plus at some point.
“Oh my goodness, when they see this show, they are going to flip,” Ru said on an episode of What’s the Tee? about the new show. “And I predict we will be doing this English edition of Drag Race for many years to come.” Here here!
Michelle, 50, will be spending a good deal of time across the pond in the upcoming months as she’s been booked to compete on the newest season of BBC’s Strictly Come Dancing. It will begin in September 2019.
