Colton Haynes recently got on Andy Cohen’s ‘Radio Andy’ show on Sirius XM.
While on the air, Haynes took the time to confess that he would have come out of the closet sooner, but was blocked by his managing team.
“I was literally told from the day that I moved to Los Angeles that I could not be gay because I wouldn’t work. Then I was with my management team and a team of people that just literally told me I couldn’t be this way. They tried to set me up with girls. I was rumored to date Lauren Conrad (The Hills) for six months because they were kind of angling a story. And then I dated every other young person which of course I didn’t date.”

This reminds us of the time that actor Luke Evans publicly got himself a girlfriend after coming out of the closet in the early 2000s. Or, of so many other similar situations.
We look forward to a time when celebrities won’t be forced back into the closet by their managing and publicity teams. We just want celebs to come out when they want to and to leave it at that.
That said, Colton admits that he has actaully been intimate with women before. In fact, he admitted in another segment of the interview that he lost his virginity at 13 to a guy and and girl.
“I’ve never said that before. The girl was two years older than me, and the guy was, I would say, around 16… Everyone participated. It was a real first time. It was exciting.”
