Gay events run the muck in and out of the United States, however one in particular is really going out of the way to ensure that you and your friends have the time of your life at this November.
Circuit Festival, the world’s biggest international gay event, crosses the Atlantic and debuts in Miami this Thanksgiving weekend. Beginning November 22nd through November 26th, thousands of men from around the globe will flock to the sun-drenched shores of South Beach for Circuit Festival Miami, a massive four-night, three-day spectacular. The gaiety begins Thanksgiving night with a welcome cocktail reception on the rooftop of the Clevelander Hotel, followed by a colossal opening night extravaganza featuring the music of DJs Maikol Venek and Ana Paula.
The weekend continues Friday when Matinee’s infamous Pervert Party storms into America’s #1 nightclub, Club Space, with music by DJs Lydia Sanz (from Spain) and Tom Stephan (UK). The Pool party takes place on Saturday, November 24th at the Clevelander Hotel and then it’s on to Saturday Night’s “Matinee Champions” event, an American Football-themed party, taking place at the mammoth 36,000 square foot Soho Studios with music by DJ-producers Isaac Escalante and Phil Romano. Then, on Sunday, it’s time to break out the Speedos for the La Leche Beach Party, Circuit Festival’s signature event.
It takes places on the sands of Lummus Park at 11th Street from 1pm to 9pm sharp and will feature fun performances, some of the world’s hottest dancers — including many flying in from Spain — and beats by international DJs Taito Tikaro and Dan Slater. Following the beach party is the weekend’s closing blow-out at a completely re-imagined Soho Studios. Miami’s #1 party brand Urge will a produce a Thunderdome theme event with music by DJs Ivan Gomez (Spain) and Grammy Award Nominee Abel Aguilera. Tickets for Circuit Festival Miami are available now on their website.
“We are thrilled to introduce the world’s biggest international gay event to the states this year,” says producer Luis Morera. Circuit Festival – also known as Circuit Festival Barcelona – is Europe’s largest gay festival. Since 2008, it has been held annually in Barcelona.
Circuit Festival could have held the party in any major city but chose Miami for its beaches, thriving nightlife and warm people. “Also, the weather is incomparable to any city in the USA, especially in November,” adds producer Billy Kemp. He and Morera own and operate Score Bar, the iconic South Beach club that is celebrating twenty years in business this year.
Rounding out the Circuit Festival Miami production team is Hilton Wolman, a longtime South Florida resident who launched his nightlife career with the infamous Salvation nightclub. He continues to create events under its name and today, the Salvation brand is featured at events in Miami, Fort Lauderdale, Atlanta, Washington DC and other cities around the USA.
Together, Wolman, Kemp and Morera own and operate the popular Miami party brand URGE. In the past few years, the party brand has been featured at festivals in Ibiza, Mykonos, Cartagena, Playa Del Carmen, and San Juan. Additionally, URGE has produced and co-produced major events in Miami during White Party, Winter Party, New Years and Miami Beach Gay Pride.
A portion of the proceeds from Circuit Festival Miami will benefit Miami Beach Pride, a not-for-profit organization that works to unite members of the LGBTQ community by celebrating the unique spirit and culture of its people.
“We want everyone to know that Circuit Festival Miami will be fresh and exciting and it will help return Miami to its rightful place as the gay party capital of the USA,” says an exuberant Wolman.
Circuit Festival Miami takes place Thursday, November 22 through Sunday, November 26. The host hotel is the Clevelander Hotel (1020 Ocean Dr, Miami Beach). Visit CircuitFestival.net/Miami/ for hotel and ticket information.
