I have no idea if the letter was made up, but the Spanish citizens seemed real with their responses and emotions.

What are your thoughts?

  1. My husband and I went to

My husband and I went to Buenos Aries, Argentina. People were welcoming. We had a good experience. You can have homophobic pricks anywhere. Prior to your trip always do some research. In Canada you can consult the Country Travel Reports & Warnings before your departure to find out about safety and security conditions, health questions and entry requirements for the country or countries you are planning to visit. The Department of Foreign Affairs, Trade and Development Canada publishes reports for over 200 destinations around the world.

  2. My husband and I went to

My husband and I went to Madrid, Spain in April of last year and felt very welcome and accepted. This video reinforces the average Spaniards reaction to gays.  They have no issue with it.

  3. Discretion is always advised

Discretion is always advised when traveling. Each country has their own culture and religious beliefs….all evolving but some faster than others. I have never once had a problem, but then we aren't flaunting it, but also not hiding it. Keep things simple and easy to understand and people adapt.

  5. It is a social experiment.

    It is a social experiment.

In fact, it is an exact copy of a social experiment recorded in Lithuania (I think) earlier this year or last year … similar letter… similar responses from public etc. Check it on youtube.
