The Recording Academy announced a new wave of performers for music’s biggest night on Tuesday, February 5. Others acts that will be included in the opening part of the show include multiple-nominee Camila Cabello, J. Balvin, Arturo Sandoval and Young Thug.
The 2019 Grammy Awards will feature an array of performers who span decades in the music industry. This includes newer acts like Kacey Musgraves and Janelle Monae all the way to icons like Dolly Parton and Diana Ross.
Ricky is no stranger to The Grammy’s as he’s won two in the past, beginning in 1999 for Best Latin Pop Performance for Vuelve. His arguably biggest English-speaking hit, “Livin La Vida Loca” was up for three the following year but won none. He’s also won three Latin Grammy Awards.
The married father-of-three rocked the house at the Grammy’s 20 years ago with his rousing performance of the song “La Copa de la Vida (The Cup of Life).” It became a huge hit for him, topping the charts in several countries including Australia and France.
This year’s show will be hosted by 15-time Grammy winner Alicia Keys. Several LGBTQ artists and our supporters, including Lady Gaga and Brandi Carlile have multiple nominations.
