A woman in Perkins Township, Ohio is getting lots of attention since she recently started advertising ‘hand jobs’. And before we go any further, get your minds out of the gutter because she is—of course–referring to manicures and pedicures. People need to take a seat!
Dawn Moon, who has owned her own business for over ten years named her salon “Hand Jobs Nails & Spa” when she first opened. It never seemed to have been a big deal until a new sign was installed calling everyone to the ‘hand jobs’ reports Newsweek.
Social media quickly picked up on the word play and soon the business was getting all the free press it could have ever imagined.
Most have been in favor of the creative business name, but there have been others who have frowned upon the highly suggestive title.
Business owner Dawn Moon said:
If you go in and get your nose done, it’s called a nose job, right? Well, you come in and get your hands done, it’s a hand job!
She does pedicures too—does that mean she does foot jobs?
The Perkins Township Zoning Board was originally reviewing the controversial name, but has decided that it has no issue with the business name or the sign since the Ohio Board of Cosmetology and the Secretary of State had approved similar names in the past.
Looks like it’s hand jobs for everyone on Lake Erie!
