Brace yourselves, gays. Adele, arguably one of the best and biggest stars to emerge over the past ten years, finally revealed when her new album is coming out amid growing speculation on when she will be releasing it.

The decorated superstar talked about it at the wedding reception of her best friend Laura Dockrill in London on Saturday, February 15. MailOnline published a clip of her chatting on stage where she could be heard saying, “Expect my album in September,” before belting out her number one single, “Rolling in the Deep.” It was a fun evening had by all, who were treated to not only Adele singing but additional vocals by Jessie Ware and Florence Welch as well.

If she is telling the truth then her newest effort will be released almost five years after her last album, 25, shattered records and took over the music industry. Its leading single, “Hello”, hit number one in several countries and helped with 25‘s momentum when it came out on November 20, 2015. It sold 3.38 million copies in its first week in the United States, breaking the previous record held by *NSYNC‘s No Strings Attached as the largest single-week record for an album in Soundscan history.

The worldwide album sales for 25 were truly spectacular as it has sold 22 million copies to date. She also won countless accolades for it including Album and Pop Vocal Album of the Year at the 2017 Grammy Awards.

Adele has kept a somewhat low profile in the past couple of years although some of her appearances out have been newsworthy for all the right reasons. The mother-of-one made waves in 2019 when she stopped by Pieces, a gay bar in New York City, with friend and Oscar winner Jennifer Lawrence. She introduced herself as a “stay at home mum,” to drag queen Brita Filter who will be competing in the upcoming 12th season of RuPaul’s Drag Race
