Recently, Michelle Visage, judge on RuPaul’s Drag Race also joined the Jamie cast as Miss Hedge, the frigid, rapping school teacher who tries to foil Jamie’s creativity. Michelle was on stage from October 2018-January 2019.

Haylock is no stranger to the theatre industry since he was a costume designer that worked on many popular shows such as Rent, Gypsy, and Cabaret. Since winning Drag Race, Bianca Del Rio has toured the world with her comedy specials and has starred in two independent films Hurricane Bianca and the sequel Hurricane Bianca: From Russia With Hate.

The musical, Everybody’s Talking About Jamie is based on the 2011 documentary Jamie: Drag Queen at 16, which follows the life of Jamie Campbell, an aspiring drag queen who seeks the spotlight despite the obstacles that are placed in his way. The stage production features a book and lyrics by Tom MacRae and music by Dan Gillespie Sells and is set to play at the Apollo Theatre until 2020.
