Blake Mitchell Wants You To Know His Real Name

Is Blake Mitchell no more? No, not quite. But he won’t be the way we’ve always known him.

The popular adult film star and social media darling has announced a big change to his branding and career. Blake Mitchell will no longer go by that name. Instead, he would prefer it if everyone referred to him by his real name, Lane Rogers.

Rogers shared this news through social media (where he has changed his profile handles to @LaneVRogers).

“You guys know my real name now. I’m Lane. It’s weird to say. I don’t think I’ve said that in a video like this in a long time, so it’s pretty crazy. But I’m happy,” said the adult performer and YouTuber.

Speaking to the NSFW news site Str8UpGayPorn, Rogers elaborated on why he decided on this change.

“I wanted to make a change, more of a shift I guess, into the absolutely and truly authentic me. It’s always been a bit confusing for me to have to keep track of who I’ve introduced myself to as Lane or as Blake, and though I feel Blake is still “me” in a way, he’s actually a character.”

That said, the Blake Mitchell name isn’t totally dead. Lane Rogers will appear in a few adult film scenes as Mitchell later this year. But, the use of the stage name will now be lowered and kept to NSFW circles. Meanwhile, his social media presence, public appearances, and general persona will be as Lane Rogers.

It seems this is a time of transition for Lane Rogers, as he’s not only leaving his stage name behind but also his former studio. Earlier this year, when he was still known as Blake Mitchell, Rogers decided to leave Helix Studios to pursue other opportunities. Namely, he hopes to start getting work as a talent in non-NSFW projects.

We wish him the best of luck.

  1. Beautiful personality, should have his chance in Hollywood, reminds me of a Young Robert downy Jr. Lane Roger’s you should inquire at A24studios. I’d stay away from the big time creators of Hollywood, don’t, theyll make u into the next Corey Haim or River Phoenix brother, you’re an intelligent man with standards. You’re a perfect humanist.

  2. Holy Shit!!! Absolutely LOVE this dude!!! He’s Fucking Gorgeous, every inch of him, especially his incredible cock. Not to mention his abs, arms and legs!!! I would eat his ass in Grand Central Station at rush hour, if he’d let me. I would suck his dick, as far down my throat as I could so I could bury my nose in his perfect cock bush! I can not believe he is 59, DAMN!!! Like fine wine, he’s only gotten BETTER WITH AGE.

  3. I first saw Blake on utube, liked him very much. I’ve seen some of his porn, it’s good but I’ve love to see him in a movie/tv show or better yet a series. Freeform or producers of the Fosters, Instinct etc could find a spot. He has a good screen presence! Best of luck. FB

  5. Wish the guy a lot of luck. Porn is going to either help him or destroy him professionally. He seems like a nice guy, and that should help too. Didn’t one of the guys from Million Dollar Listings do porn? Let’s see if people’s attitudes have changed. I mean there are gay actors playing mainstream roles on tv, so why not this guy? Only time will tell.

    • His luck will most likely depend on how large the gay male audience happens to be. I could see a cable show working for him. Network TV, no. Disney Channel, ABC Family, or Nickelodeon, no. They may deal with controversial topics but would probably steer clear of him. Commercials? Unlikely. The big thing is talent. The only place I’ve seen him is on this site. My guess is he has outgrown the twink having his first encounter role and doesn’t fit the type for other roles. Can he act and be taken seriously?

  7. So, if porn does not hurt a career, why is he not using his porn name? Perhaps because porn does kill a career. Changing a name from Brent Corrigan didn’t do much for Sean Paul Lockhart.

  10. My advice is to do what actors should do to define their work: get some experience in the theater. Become part of a theater company; do a show off or off off Broadway, but build a resume you can be proud of. Think about what smart actors have done: Jake Gyllanhall, Farrah Fawcett, Morgan Fairchild, Susan Sarandon have done: theater. Do something Tom Cruise or Bruce Willis would never think to do to prove their talent: go and work in the theater!
