Meet the man behind the latest Deadpool in heels video.
A couple days ago, we shared with you the latest viral hit on the internet. Actor and comedian Ryan Reynolds shared a promotional video for the upcoming Deadpool movie. In the video, the merc with a mouth dances around Celine Dion on stage while wearing heels.
But, if you thought Reynolds was wearing the suit and heels (but you probably didn’t), you were dead wrong.
Yesterday, a man named Yanis Marshall posted on Instagram a shout out Reynolds gave him. In the screenshot of Reynolds’s words, you can read:
“How does Ryan Reynolds dance so beautifully? Did he have eight bones surgically removed from his body in order to move as if a graceful swan had sex with Fred Astaire?” The answer my surprise you. Yes. I did have eight bones removed from my body. But the dancing was all Yanis Marshall. This man is not just a dancer… he’s an elite athlete, hero and all-around hilarious person. Follow him on Instagram. Put him in movies. Throw confetti at his feet when you see him. He is a gift to this weary world.”
But who is Yanis Marshall? Well, he’s a dancer and choreographer who’s getting work and attention for his vibrant personality and his fierce dancing (often while wearing heels).
You might have already seen Marshall through Britain’s Got Talent. Marshall auditioned back in 2014 and ended up becoming a finalist.
But he doesn’t just dance, he choreographs dances too. Yanis Marshall also has spent time working as a coach and choreographer on Dancing With The Stars and the Ukraine’s version of So You Think You Can Dance. And now, he’s the choreographer for Cirque du Soleil’s Las Vegas Zumanity show (a show bursting with sexual energy and that also has same-sex romances depicted).
Congratulations to Yanis Marshall. His hard work is paying off and Ryan Reynolds is helping to get his name out there.
