Triple threat Milan Christopher has a lot going for himself. First, he’s fine as hell to look at (we named him one of the sexiest men in reality television history earlier this year).
Second, he’s an accomplished rapper with amazing songs like “When I Go,” “Drip” and his latest “Revenge,” all of which have a varying level of emotion and impact to them. “When I Go” became an instant anthem for our community in 2016 that protested the bullying of LGBTQ youth.
Third, Milan is a social media superstar who blends elements of sexy, serious and pure hilarity (he’s the king of The Shade Room commenters at this point), which is why he boasts close to 750,000 followers on his Instagram alone.
Fourth, he’s one of the few openly gay rappers out there. Milan’s frankness about his own sexuality may have paved the ways for others in recent years, notably Lil Nas X who has taken over the music industry in such a short amount of time with his track “Old Town Road.”
Milan, however, has his own plans for world domination which he discusses in his exclusive interview with Instinct Magazine. The 35-year-old Chicago native spoke with us about his amazing Pride month, the biggest milestone thus far, if he’s single or taken and why there is no end goal for him in his burgeoning career.
First off, how did it feel to be named one of the sexiest dudes on reality television?
There are some a lot of amazing reality stars to pick from, so I was so excited to be named one of the sexiest dudes on reality TV.
How was your Pride month overall? Anything big happen?
My Pride month was amazing! I was booked every weekend, working from city to city, and I launched my comic book Ragneron, the first gay black superhero series which was pretty big and exciting.
You are an actor, model and rap phenomenon. If you could only choose one as your primary focus moving forward, which would it be?
I couldn’t just choose one, all are my passion and they all encompass the other.
You’ve reached a lot of milestones in your career thus far. Does one stick out to you more than the rest?
I think one thing that never ceases to amaze me is the support I get and the people whose lives I changed just by being myself. It lets me know how important it is to remain visible as an openly gay black man.
How does it feel to be an out and proud gay man in the entertainment industry in 2019?
It feels great to be in a space where I can be myself and not have to hide it, and still be supported because not too long ago it wasn’t like this and in other countries it’s still forbidden
What are your thoughts on Lil Nas X coming out of the closet and the amount of support he’s received thus far?
I am in full support of Lil Nas. I think its genius and is the perfect time for him to succeed in the music biz!
Are you dating anyone right now? If not, what do you look for in a guy (please say body hair with a cute smile and maybe a belly)?
I am single – let me say it one more time for the people in the back – I AM SINGLE lol and ready to mingle. I look for a variety of different things but most importantly honesty, loyalty, spirituality and a drive for success. That turns me on lol!
What do you have moving forward that our readers should know about?
I’m proud to announce I’m in the process of filming my 1st movie as the director, star and writer – so it’s amazing thing to be able curate your own narrative.
In conclusion, what’s the end game? What’s your biggest goal that you want to achieve?
There is no end game – I just see myself and my brand growing and growing & getting bigger & bigger until it takes over the world and the Milan Christopher world domination begins lol. Love you guys! 🥰
