Amanda Lepore has always been on the cutting edge of literally, everything she does. From her New York street meets bubblegum pop music to her David LaChapelle crafted photography to her own doll (created by Jason Lee) LePore always knows how to get and keep the buzz going. This spring, she is blooming with two brand new music videos, from her top selling LEPORE mini-album. “Buckle Up” premieres today and is true LePore down to the last detail.
While the previous video for “The Jean Genie” (Amanda’s cover of the David Bowie song) celebrates the 50th anniversary of the Stonewall uprising and a half-century of LGBTQ liberation, the imagery for “Buckle Up” is much more straightforward. The message is urging the listeners and viewers to prepare for Spring, the season of love. Directed by Zaebear & Josef Jasso (in association with ABSOLUT Elyx), the video pays homage to 70’s era New York City, with gritty visuals and plenty of fluorescent lighting!
