Gabrielle Union and Dwayne Wade are putting even more support behind their gay son… and making some (charitable) money while they’re at it.

Back in April, the actress and recently retired NBA player made headlines for supporting their gay son, Zion, at Miami Pride and through social media. Dwayne Wade then doubled down on this by explaining it’s the father’s job to support his son.

“I think as a family, we should support each other,” he said in an interview. “That’s our job. And my job as a father is to facilitate their lives and to support them and be behind them in whatever they want to do.”

And now, the family has released shirts to help express that to the world.

The family has released limited edition, $35 shirts that say YnG DnA on the front and “Please Remain Inclusive & Dedicated 2 Equality” on the back.

To promote these shirts, Gabrielle Union wrote on Instagram:

“As a family, we believe inclusion and equality are two essential pillars needed to move towards growth and progressive thinking and action in our society. We have created a Limited Edition T shirt to help create a more inclusive space with our platform.”

Together with clothing company YnG DnA, the family is donating $50,000 and 50% of the proceeds to GLSEN, an organization “whose mission strives to ensure safe schools for all students, regardless of sexual orientation as well as gender identity.”

Furthermore, Union ended her Instagram post with the hashtags #StopKillingBlackTransWomen, #StopKillingTransWomen, #TransWomenAreWomen, #SupportingEachOtherWithPride to show support of LGBTQ people and the ongoing dilemma of trans women, especially trans women of color, being killed in the United States.

It looks like the Wade family is quickly becoming one of our favorite celebrity families.
