Yesterday, Madonna announced her upcoming Madame X Tour–and it’s not quite what anyone was expecting. The latest world tour by the highest-selling female artist–whose 2009 “Sticky and Sweet” Tour is the highest-grossing ever by a woman–is going on a THEATER tour!
Announced via a charming short video featuring Diplo, The Queen of Pop announced Madame X’s tour will be coming to intimate theater settings in major cities. In the U.S., Madonna will perform at the Wiltern in Los Angeles,
Many of you already know this, but Madonna puts on the greatest live show on Earth, plain and simple. The only show I’ve seen in the past five years that I’d even compare to a Madonna show in terms of wow factor and quality is Paul McCartney.
You don’t want to miss Madame X. So how can you snag tickets? Pricing starts at affordable (around $60 not counting service charges) to north of $1,000 for VIP treatment. Here’s the bad news for newcomers: Most of Madame ‘s shows sold out in about an hour. But then, a few shows were added! There’s hope.
Right now, the thing to do is to go to the official Verified Fan site and request the tickets you want. Members of Madonna’s ICON fan club get first dibs, second priority goes to Citi cardholders, and then tix are open to the public. Requests are being accepted until May 10 at 11:59 pm ET.
