Mariah Carey had the world watching her last night, as she took to the stage for Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve Special for the second year in a row.
Her performance when she closed out 2016 was wrecked with a ton of sound problems which she blamed on the network and they shot back in a they said, she said sort of battle. Luckily, thing smoothed out and MC did her best to get redemption roughly 20 minutes before the ball dropped last night.
Weather was a major factor for the pop diva, as it was record lows for the big night, as the wind chill at one point was listed as -3 degrees. That can easily affect any type of singer's abilities, however, for the most part… she came through and did a fantastic job!
She chose two of her most difficult songs to sing: "Hero" and "Vision of Love" to perform, both of which went very well. One of the funnier moments came when she asked where her hot tea was, which I didn't know it she was trying to make fun of herself from last year's debacle or if she was serious, but nevertheless, she pulled through and did a great job.
For the most part, social media pulled through for her as well with one commenter pretty much saying that she doesn't need a second chance given that she's thirty years into her career now and a major success at that.
