It May Be Time To Make A Doctor Appointment!
GULP! This next story is a bit of a doozy. So, you may be familiar with one of the most pleasurable feelings in the world, you know, a rim job. A rim job is giving one oral sex in the butt. Yep, it’s just that simple. And lord, it’s arguably better than sex itself. Okay, maybe I’m giving an award to a select few, but seriously – it’s an incredible experience and I’d be willing to bet about any gay man over the age of thirty has at least, attempted it once. Well, like all good things in life, it obviously can harm you. I’m not talking just of what we knows with any STI’s and whatnot (#SupportDentalDams!) but here’s a story that is pretty, ahem, stomach turning:
According to NewNowNext, a gay man in New York believes he’s received a gastrointestinal parasite THREE times in the last four years… from rim jobs!!!! He prefaces his story by stating that he is healthy, a regular exerciser, regularly tested, and is even on PreP. While his tale is super embarrassing, I’m really happy he is starting a conversation. After immediately reading his spilled tea, I may be deciding it’s time for me to poop in a stool cup this coming weekend.
The unnamed man – unless it’s the author, Jasper Sparrow – describes that after constant liquid diarrhea for months and chronic stomach pains, he went to the doctor and was diagnosed with giardia, a parasite common in developing countries that affects your stomach. The doctor informed him he could receive the parasite from anal-oral contact…and he personally had to admit he loves rimming, so likely received it from a sexual partner. The man took medicine and it him several months to get his body back to normal. That’s terrifying – several months?!
Well, it turns out the man telling the story also has a boyfriend. So, of course, his boyfriend also had the parasite. They kept spreading it back and forth between one another!! That and to add insult to injury, the boyfriends even contacted another parasite called Entamoeba histolytica (which could be a really boss Drag Queen name)! So they get themselves cleared of this parasite and then wind up back with their original parasite: Giardia. Like, what a crazy year for them to experience all of this. I can’t imagine it?!
The writer states he hopes to start a conversation and have men get tested for stomach parasites if they are having loose, leaky stools and consistent stomach pains. Girl, I’m right there with you! His story is truly horrifying! It looks like I’m going to have to cut back on my random butt munching. It’s all about being selective from here on out, boys!
