Jill Messick’s Death Blamed On #MeToo Movement!
Messick’s Surviving Family Points Finger At Rose McGowan!
As the world turns, right? Lately, someone’s name on everyone’s tongues is Jawbreaker actress, Rose McGowan. She’s turned stomachs, necks, and opinions throughout her career and continues to be a controversial character involving the #MeToo movement. Through speaking her truth, she has faced endless backlash. Whether it be from Keyboard Warriors shaming her, Transgender Protestors making a mockery of themselves at her events, or her peers mistrusting her; McGowan has been put through the ringer. As she continues her fight against complicity with members of the #RoseArmy behind her, she is now facing an extremely uncomfortable and potentially damaging new controversy.
According to MSN, McGowan’s former Talent Manager, Jill Messick, has committed suicide. Messick has recently appeared in the news alongside McGowan and alleged monster, Harvey Weinstein. Why? Well, Messick was McGowan’s manager who organized that breakfast meeting with Weinstein. Yes, the one where McGowan was allegedly raped by Weinstein. McGowan claims she reported the cruel act to Messick and it went ignored. Messick was not only McGowan’s first manager, but also served as a Production Executive for Weinstein’s production company, Miramax, from 1997 to 2003. For record, 1997 was the year McGowan allegedly told Messick of the rape via Weinstein.
Messick’s family is putting blame on McGowan and Weinstein for involving Messick into their public drama. Messick was essentially thrown in the snake pit. I can’t imagine the backlash she faced for being complicit. Messick was a young 50-years-old and is survived by a husband and two children. Her family released a statement blasting McGowan and Weinstein:
"Seeing her name in headlines again and again, as part of one person's attempt to gain more attention for her personal cause, along with Harvey's desperate attempt to vindicate himself, was devastating for her. It broke Jill, who was just starting to get her life back on track. What makes Rose's inaccurate accusations and insinuations against Jill ironic was that she was the first person who stood up on Rose's behalf, and alerted her bosses to the horrific experience which Rose suffered. All Jill knew was that the matter was settled and that Rose continued making films with the Weinsteins. She never knew any details until recently, when Rose elected to make them public.”
