While the last season of The Big Bang Theory is currently filming, Jim Parsons is already connected to a future project.
Deadline reports that Parsons is producing, with Young & Hungry creator David Holden, a new comedy called The Inn Crowd.
The series is based off of a 1999 New Yorker article about a gay couple who opened up a successful inn in a small town, which created a stir with the town’s citizens.
The townspeople of Little Washington, Virginia were split between supporting the successful business that was bringing in big-name celebrities, and opposing it due to the gay owners Patrick O’Connell and Reinhardt Lynch.
Parsons is currently preparing for the end of The Big Bang Theory, which made him a household name and earned him the title of most paid tv actor by Forbes.
In reaction to the upcoming series finale, Parson’s wrote a long open letter about his time on the show and his thoughts on soon leaving.
“And while I know that they already know it, it bears repeating again and again: I am so terribly grateful for the cast members who aren’t pictured here — whether they were in one scene or many episodes along the way; you are all my playmates that I have fallen in love with and who have become a part of my life on set and off.”
“You are my playmates when we don’t feel like playing but have to because it’s our job to get out there and communicate our job to get out there and communicate and pretend we’re these other fictional people and we look into each other’s eyes and say these words and end up creating this weird, other reality that has enriched my life more than I will fully ever understand.”
Again, The Inn Crowd has only just now been announced and is in pre-production.
