Judy Garland’s “The Man That Got Away” Gets The Eric Kupper Remix Treatment

As Oscar buzz for Renee Zelwegger’s dazzling performance of Judy Garland in Judy builds, and her duet with Sam Smith on “Get Happy” continues to gain radio airplay nationwide. there was absolutely no better time than for someone to reach back into the archives and grab one of Garland’s classics and remix it for the 2019 dance floor.

That is exactly what legendary remixer/producer Eric Kupper has done with the classic Garland tune “The Man That Got Away”, which ironically was published in 1953 and written for the 1954 version of A Star Is Born that Garland starred in.

Hot off of remixing tracks like “Ain’t No Mountain High Enough 2017” and “The Boss 2019” for Diana Ross, his work on this Garland classic gets uniquely reworked by melding the original 3 track, which includes the artist’s original vocal (recorded live)  with a “horn-driven instrumentation with an uptempo Disco House production”.
