Glamorous is said to be a coming-of-age story focused on Marco (Miss Benny) being stuck in a rut until meeting legendary makeup mogul Madolyn Addison (Cattrall).

Aside from the three stars, Jade Payton, Michael Hsu Rosen, Ayesha Harris, and Graham Parkhurst will also also be joining the cast of Glamorous, which is a 10-part series written and produced by Jordon Nardino.

In addition to all the anticipation surrounding the series, Phillips seems to be as excited about the news, as he shared it on his personal Instagram account as well.

  1. Kim Cattrall was an attractive woman at her age; I realize that people, both men and women, have work done in Hollywood and that it’s tougher for older women, unless you’re someone like Helen Mirren or Lily Tomlin, where you’ve aged in public and people don’t object. It’s funny, The CW originally cast Brooke Shields in this, who is also an older woman, who is over 50 but is still almost 10 years younger than Kim.

Anyways, glad to see Zane Phillips land this role, since he’s openly gay unlike Pierson Fodé, who was just ‘comfortable’ playing gay in the pilot for this show (and Naomi and some other show I’ve never even heard of). I know he’s really attached to his ‘stache, but personally I think he looks best clean shaven!

Miss Benny seems to be the only cast member from that original pilot who made it through to this new Netflix show. And according to IMDB, John Borrowman is also going to at least appear?

I’m still not sure about the writer/show runner, or this story, since the original idea was co-written by Damon Waynan and frankly I don’t trust him with a binary or gender non-conforming character. But at least they will get to do more nudity and more non-bleeped dialogue, as well as more adult stories, at Netflix.
