There have been thousands of gay porn stars that have infiltrated our laptops, iPhones and VCR’s for almost 50 years.

Several have come and gone while leaving an impact that goes beyond what’s in our pants. Question is, which ones did it best all this time later to the point where they stand above all others?
Take a look at my list for who the 10 greatest gay porn performers of all time are (in no particular order). This is, of course up for debate, so feel free to speak your opinion on who your favorites are in the comments section below.
Jeff Stryker. Gay porn’s original Ken doll, just with much more attitude and muscle. Jeff is kind of the adult industry’s gay version of Jenna Jameson, as he’s one of the most internationally known mainstream names to ever come out of the business. Does his talent equal that notoriety? Not sure, but he’s a legend regardless.

Zak Spears. The ultimate daddy of all daddies. There are many like him, but no one could command the camera from a top, bottom or versatile perspective like Zak did. He also, like many of the men on this list, had a long career in the biz that only seemed to get bigger and better as he aged.
Bobby Blake. When you think of the term “dominant top,” Bobby is one of the first (if not first) stars that come to mind. He was in control of every scene he did throughout his career and happily demolished every bottom along the way which fans totally ate up.
Erik Rhodes. A tragic story of a guy that many considered gay porn’s Superman. His height, physique, looks and overall popularity was so massive that the New York Times did a feature on his death in 2012, further pushing gay porn into the mainstream even though the piece was more about his passing than what he was able to achieve while alive.
Paul Carrigan. Paul is like that attractive straight dad you always had a crush on. For someone who was married to a woman in real life he certainly was a master at his gay abilities on screen which did not get lost throughout his decades-long career.
Chris Steele. Lord. Quite possibly the hottest man to ever exist in the gay porn world (up for debate). His swarthy and sexy appearance was irresistible to watch, not to mention him having one of the best chests to ever appear on film.
Diesel Washington. Diesel is the most recent porn star to make this list, and rightfully so. He commanded every scene he ever did while being extremely vocal off-camera about the racism that exists within the industry. Brains + Sexy + Major Sex Drive = a worthy entertainer.
Brent Corrigan. Gay porn’s Traci Lords. He began his career in infamy but turned that around in the best of ways to where he’s still relevant and thriving all this time later.

Matthew Rush. The complete package… no pun intended. Matthew was such a dream boat during his active years in porn as the guy we have all fantasized about at one point or another. He’s run into issues lately but appears to be on the rebound after a recent health scare.
Al Parker. The original bear that got many of us into hairy dudes before it was societally cool to do so. One of the original gay porn icons that paved the way for many who would come after him (some on this list).

Brent Corrigan should be replaced by Joey Stefano, a much more groundbreaking performer. Chris Steele was great, but you gotta give a nod to Bel Ami and include Lucas Ridgston instead. I love the inclusion of the overlooked Paul Carrigan, but wonder if Casey Donovan doesn’t need to be included, considering he kind of started gay porn stardom.
